I have been teaching for over a year full time. 2nd Grade Land is where I love to be!
Just as children have their own individual learning styles, teachers have their own taching styles. It is vital to be aware of your teaching style, philosophy of teaching, and other preferences when creating and delivering lessons your kiddos will remember forever! No two children learn the same. What works for one may or may not work for the other. My personal belief is to always keep my teaching style as diverse and flexible as my kiddos learning.

I was born and raised in the Bronx. When I was 13, we moved to Louisville. I dropped out of high school at 15 due to a stressed home life. I began working over 40 hours a week from the age of 15 to 26. I clocked in for my shift at a local restaurant, took a long look around the room, and had my moment of clarity. I knew I had to go back to school and do something with my life or else I would never go beyond the food service industry. I wanted to do something with my life that would make a difference in this world. Realizing how important having an education was, I decided to enroll in the education program and have not looked back since.
I am a 32 year old happily married woman who makes her husband get on GoNoodle with me. I am passionate about what I do. I tell my students every single day that the most important thing they can do is obtain an education. I tell them their knowledge is one thing in life that NO ONE can ever take away from them. With this knowledge comes great power! :)
