I was able to enjoy 5 years teaching 2nd grade at a low socio-economic school. I enjoyed each of my students. Then I taught 1st grade in a high socio-economic school. I have seen both sides of the tracks and have learned many great lessons from my times in these schools. I have spent the last three years being a long-term substitute. I have enjoyed getting to see all the different strategies being used in different classrooms.
I believe that students should be able to fail and grow in a safe environment. Students should not be afraid to fail but should also be given the guidance to be successful.

I have a wonderful husband and three loving sons. My oldest is dyslexic and struggles with standardized testing. He is growing into a fine man in spite of his struggles. My middle son is autistic and struggles with social interactions. He loves to learn but middle school is too loud for him. He is a very loving boy. My youngest is strong willed but very smart! They are all polite and bring joy to my world.
