I have taught in a number of Primary schools in Victoria, teaching all levels, for 26 years. Main areas of interest and expertise are Numeracy and Physical Education. I am in a Curriculum Coordinating/Numeracy Coaching position at my current school and teach a Gr.5/6 class one day a week, as well as lessons in all other classes during the week. I also spent a semester teaching Physical Education at LaTrobe University in Bendigo in 2011 to B.Ed. students.
Very interested in Project Based Learning and Self Directed Learning. My approach is very hands on and inquiry based, with lots of interaction, communication and collaboration. I am not one for the traditional lecture style method of teaching, I tend to let the children take ownership of what they do and develop their learning through the constructivist approach. I like to make learning experiences meaningful, relevant and enjoyable.
Finalist in the 2003 Powercor Employee of the Year Awards in Bendigo. (3 finalists)

Passionate about health and sport. I have spent my entire adult life involved in various sports, as a player/participant and as a coach/administrator. After running marathons, I now do a lot of cycling and following the sporting pursuits of my 3 sons who are all very active sportsmen. Love music and have a very wide range of tastes, it is always playing no matter what I am doing.
