Bachelor's in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida Master in Special Education from the University of West Florida Orton-Gillingham tutor hoping to soon be an associate of the Orton-Gillingham Academy.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a mother on a mission to educate fellow educators and parents about dyslexia. When my son was in 2nd grade he was reading a Pre-K level. I was lost and didn't know what to do. When I reached out to his school for help, I was told that they were not a gold star school, and they were doing there best to help him. I felt so defeated. I decided to put him in a private school, and pay a tutor to help him. His reading growth was amazing, by the end of 4th grade he was reading at grade level. I decided that as special education teacher I have an obligation to help other struggling student and their families. I have spent the past three years learning everything I can about dyslexia. I completed a 70 hour Orton-Gillingham training course, and have been tutoring for the past year. I hope you find the materials I have created for my lessons helpful.
