TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am beginning my 11th year of teaching music. I am currently teaching Kindergarten through 3rd Grade General Music. I have previously taught Kindergarten through 7th Grade General Music, 3rd through 12th Grade Chorus, and 5th through 8th Grade Band. I also enjoy directing after-school Drama Club and Folk Dancing Club.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my lessons, I utilize a combination of Kodaly and Orff Methods. I encourage active musical experiences that are enjoyed by each student. I find creative ways to include many different learning styles in my class.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In 2014, I completed my Kodaly Certificate (OAKE endorsed). I also have taken Orff Level I and II.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from Summit University, and my Master's of Music Education with a Kodaly emphasis from West Chester University.
