Betty Nichols

I am in my 19th year of teaching, 15 years in Kindergarten, then a three-year loop of K, 1, and 2. This year, I am a School-Based Reading Coach

I prefer to think of myself as a facilitator--providing my students with the skills and concepts they need to put the pieces together themselves!

I have received numerous grants, both by writing my own and developing the ideas of others. With these additional funds, I have been able to provide my students much needed resources such as books, literacy centers and even a field trip!

I have a Bachelor of Arts' Degree in Primary Education, Grades K-3 and Elementary Education, Grades 1-6, as well as, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading. I am certified to teach K-3 in the state of Florida, as well as, English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Grades K-12.

I'm a seasonal Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort and have been "making magic" since 2007 with Mickey!
