TEACHING EXPERIENCE

4+ years teaching preschool and pre-k. 1 year tutoring English composition. 1 year volunteering as an ESL tutor to a refugee family. 1 year teaching middle school, high school, and adults in South Korea. 5th and 6th grade homeroom teacher at a bilingual school in Japan. 1.5 years teaching adult ESL in the United States. 2 years teaching high school EFL in Southeast Asia. MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered, holistic, and open. I am inspired by Waldorf, RIE, and Sudbury methods, and try to create a classroom environment in which students can feel welcomed, appreciated, and empowered, whatever their strengths. I'm currently excited about restorative practices and am working on some unit plans for teachers to integrate them into their classrooms!
