I was lucky enough to be an AIS teacher for a few years and learn from many great teachers. Observing and reflecting on numerous teaching styles has given me the resources and knowledge to strive to be a better teacher. I am always improving and reflecting on my work. I love making things of all grade levels and learners. Now I have been teaching almost 10 years and have been loving this creative process!
Structure is so important! I always have detailed lesson plans, student activities, and an assessment to make sure students are grasping the concepts before I move on to the next! I always add that element of fun because kids these days need to be engaged. My interactive notebooks are my favorite thing to keep kids interested in ELA.
I award myself in being a good helper to other teachers. :) If you need a product that you do not see in my store, please ask me! I probably have something, I just haven’t gotten around to posting it yet!
I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University before my love of teaching took over my life. Back to school I went to complete a Masters degree in Education from Hofstra University. Best decision of my life!
Teaching is my passion and I am glad there is a website where teachers can share all their hard word with each other! Come and visit my blog! http://bigappleteaching.weebly.com/
