Taught 5 years at 3 different schools (private, charter, and district). All at the first and second grade levels. My last two years were at a Dual Language school in first grade where I taught 80% in Spanish and 20% in English.
An open, loving community. I believe in building really strong, fun relationships with each student. Each student should be able to feel some sort of personal connection with the teacher which allows the teacher to have greater success with classroom management. I also believe the students must learn to respect each other in the classroom, creating a tight-nit classroom community. My classes always feel that we are truly a FAMILY.
