Bilingual support teacher.
My teaching style is very versatile because it depends on the objective of the lesson. I emphasize the use of demonstration/modeling as ELLs need this support. Additionally, I use scaffolding techniques to ease students into grasping the skills at their own pace. I enjoy being a facilitator which is more student-centered and as a bilingual teacher it is advantageous to use the students' native language which absolutely enhances their comprehensible input.
Master's Degree with Honors in Elementary Education/Bilingual Extension.
Master's in Childhood Education with a Bilingual (Spanish) extension.
I was an English Language Learner (ELL) and attended bilingual classes from Kindergarten until 6th grade. I share similar experiences that my ELL students go through. There are limited resources available that cater to Spanish speaking ELLs so I decided to create this resource page to help educators and students as they take the wonderful journey of learning a new language and also using their native language for comprehensible input.
