TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a high school social studies teacher for 7 years. During that time, I have taught U.S. History, AP U.S. History, World History, Current Events, and Sociology to 9th thru 12th grade students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In addition to primary source analysis, I use differentiated instructional approaches to engage students from a variety of learning styles. Also, I utilize reading strategies that promote higher order thinking skills and meaningful engagement with text. To increase motivation, I incorporate forms of modern media such as films, television, Google Earth, YouTube, and other internet-based media sites to engage the new generation of learners.
