TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching solar power technology in 2009, following 30 years of experience as a communications engineer and solar and micro-hydro power systems designer, builder and user. I developed two Colorado State Accredited solar classes - ENY 120, Solar Water and Space Heating and ENY130, Solar Photovoltaics for Electricians and Installers, both five day "bootcamp" classes, and I teach equivalent versions of these classes under contract across the country. I have also developed and taught seminars covering National Electric Code for Solar Installers and Inspectors as well as half day Introduction to Solar Power Workshops for Homebuilders and Owners.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My "in person" adult education classes are interactive / lecture format.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live and work "off the grid" in the mountains of Colorado; my home and office is 100% powered by on-site renewable hydro and solar power.
