TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in both Maine and Florida. I am currently in my 15th year of teaching, mostly teaching high school biology. Teaching is my passion. I really enjoy helping students reach their potential in my class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to instill a sense of understanding and resourcefulness in my students. I have begun to teach through a flipped classroom model, where I am expecting students to pre-read and/or watch prerecorded video lectures before coming to class. We then develop a discussion about the information and can have more time for activities in my class, which eventually instill a greater understanding of the content and the application of the content to the real world.
