I am in my fourth year in education. My first year I worked in a high school teaching remedial science, my second year was elementary school math, and have begun my second year teaching 8th grade science.
My teaching style could only be described as hands-on. The best teachers I ever had and the lessons that I most remember are those that made me solve problems using materials in front of me. While taking notes might never go out of style completely, gone are the days of students sitting silently at a desk writing every word a teacher says. My classroom is filled with discussion, ideas, and yes the occasional argument, but passion for what they are learning drives their learning.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Cellular Biology. My teaching certificate I earned from the University of West Florida, and am currently working on my Master's.
I strongly believe in the integration of technology into our classrooms as the world our students will become workers in will most definitely be a technological world.
