I am currently a 3rd grade teacher and love it! I have experience in the general and special education settings. My general education experience is in 4th and 5th grades and my special education experience is Pre-K to 5th grades.
I love integrating brain-based learning strategies in my classroom such as movement, unique behavior management strategies and student-led learning opportunities. My belief is that the classroom environment should make students feel valued and part of something greater than themselves. I want all my students to leave my classroom knowing they can make a difference and there is no limitation on what they can accomplish as long as they work hard and believe in their dreams.
I earned my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies (PK-8) and my Masters in Special Education.
I love writing, spending time with my family, running, and helping other teachers by sharing tools and ideas they can use in their classrooms.
