TEACHING EXPERIENCE

20 years teaching experience in grades 7 through 12. For the first five years of my teaching career I taught middle school math grades 7 and 8. The past fifteen years, I have been teaching high school math. I have taught Algebra 1 and 2, PreCalculus, and Intro to Computer Programming.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use a discovery approach when introducing new concepts to my students. Often times I will put them into teams of four and create a guided activity for them or pose interesting problems for them to solve.
