Leanna is a spirited special education teacher and running enthusiast whose idea of a perfect day involves kick boxing, bargain shopping, and a rare london broil. She lives with her husband, their rambunctious one year old boy, and a friendly dog in Pittsfield, MA. She can't function without strong coffee and a beautifully organized classroom.
As a special education teacher, Leanna believes all students learn in their own unique way. She emphasizes her students' strengths and uses multi-sensory modes in her instruction. She infuses arts education and social thinking strategies in her reading and math classes. She also believes all students benefit from movement and positive energy, which is how she strives to help her students bloom and glow!

Leanna graduated from SUNY Purchase with a bachelors degree in Media, Society and the Arts & Theatre. She went on to pursue her Masters in Professional Studies from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. She has a dual certification in childhood and special education and has taught grades K-7 in Putnam/N. Westchester and Bronx, NY. She is currently a special education teacher for grades K-4 in Great Barrington, MA. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Masters in the Business of Art and Design from The Maryland Institute College of Art. She has worked at Kate Spade New York, Martha Stewart Weddings, J.Crew, and is currently Associate Art Director at GapKids & babyGap. Lauren is also adjunct professor and visiting speaker at The Maryland Institute College of Art.
Leanna started Bloom & Glow with her sister, Lauren. Lauren is a New York based art director, designer, and crafter. She is a fastidious list maker, has a penchant for humming, and loves Emily Post and primary colors. She lives with her husband, two bright-eyed kids, and their orange tabby cat in Katonah, NY. Her closet is chock-full of stripes. We are both working moms who care about kids and the people who help them turn into whomever they dream of becoming.
