I have taught 4 years in a Title I school. I am wanting to be an administrator, so I am wanting to gain experience in as many grade levels as possible. So far, I've taught the Developmental Program in Special Education, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade math.
I like to teach in small groups as much as possible. I think students are able to excel better in a small group situation because they aren't just sitting back and letting other students answer questions for them. It's a way of holding everyone accountable.
I am currently a student at UNT in the Accelerated Online Master's Program. I am going to school for Educational Leadership with my principal certification.
I have been married for almost 4 years and my husband is very supportive. His mom was a 1st grade teacher for 41 years in Greenville ISD. We don't have any kids of our own yet, but he enjoys hearing all about my day with my wonderful kiddos.
