TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching English to high school students for 25 years at all levels. In my repertoire I've come to appreciate the quick teachable moments that occur quickly throughout the day, and I fill every minute I have with my students, with opportunities to learn. My long term lessons and short term lessons are designed with all of our students in mind. If we keep them thinking, they will develop the habit of thinking. This is how we all grow and learn. I model this with my students as I am always learning.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I always have a big picture plan, though I go with the back up ideas in my back pocket often. Having a Plan B is essential to teaching. When the lesson strays or the time is cut short, my flexible style and sense of humor gets us through the day successfully.
