TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I absolutely adore well-written and carefully illustrated picture books. They are a valuable source of background knowledge. The Picture Book Talk lessons are intended to accompany an adult reading the book aloud to children. They are not meant as written assignments for younger children to complete without guidance. Older students may complete them independently. The Wait For It... lessons might complement a comprehensive fluency therapy program.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Slow. Relaxed. Conversational.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a licensed, certified, pediatric Speech Language Pathologist who has collaborated with many school-based personnel. In my opinion, the most important lessons children can learn are 1.) talking is fun and 2.) what they say matters.
