I attended St. Clair County high school in the small town of Odenville, Alabama and I graduated in 2009. By the time fall rolled around that year, I had already enrolled in basic general education classes at Jefferson State Community College. After completing my two years of general studies, I transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I majored in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I recently graduated from UAB in December of 2013 with a dual teaching certificate and diploma.
My life is quite interesting. I share my (sometimes messy) home with my husband Brandon, and a furry feline named Sully. I have known that I was called to teach since I was in 3rd grade. I knew that God had given me talents, and I wanted to follow his will for my life. Fourteen years later, certified and jobless, God blessed his calling on my life and allowed me to get hired on at a local Christian school. I have never been happier or more joyful coming into work. I thank God everyday for his wisdom and blessings.
