I'm currently in my 10th year teaching. I teach Social Studies (US History through Reconstruction), World Geography, Pre-AP World Geography, and AP Human Geography. I've taught at a traditional brick and mortar school for three years, a for-profit virtual school for one year, and for the last six years I've taught at a non-profit local ISD virtual school in Texas (and absolutely loving it!) At different stages of my career I've also taught, World History, 6th grade social studies, Speech, Health, Economics, and various forms of Physical Education.
Story-telling and creating personal connections with students has always been a passion of mine. If students can feel comfortable with me and can laugh with (or at) me then they can laugh at themselves long enough to realize not to take things too seriously.
Social Studies Department Chair at the best and highest rated virtual school in the state of Texas in one of the most successful academic districts in the state.
I studied Education, Exercise and Sports Studies, and History at Tarleton State University and graduated in 2005.
