I have been teaching for about three and a half years now and I can honestly say I love it! I was a long term substitute in Kentucky for about 6 months. I moved to Tennessee and I've been teaching modified special education classes for 2nd through 5th graders for three years now! I fell in love with progress monitoring and modifying the content to help my kiddos succeed!
I use anything to keep my students motivated. I am a huge fan of small group work and cooperative learning. I love hands on activities because it keeps my kiddos engaged.
I've just recently been selected to be the special education team leader at my school.
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Learning Behavior Disorders with an Emphasis in Elementary Education at Murray State University (Go Racers!). I am currently working on my master's in Applied Behavior Analysis with an Autism Spectrum Disorder certification through Ball State University.
I have one motto and that's just for my kiddos to be their own personal best. I want kiddos to enjoy learning and reach their potential in a fun, interactive way, while monitoring their progress on their goals. I hope this helps take some ease off of your already hectic life and will help the kiddos succeed.
