For the past few years, I have been teaching in several school districts in Ohio -- as well as outside the United States -- to help prepare young people for the globalized world they're inheriting. My website, www.mondokio.com, translates news articles from all over the world, allowing high school students to consider multiple perspectives on the same news topic. http://bradymondokio.blogspot.com/ http://pinterest.com/bradymondokio/
Unlike any generation before us, I believe there's an especially pressing need to produce students who can communicate effectively in a global setting. This means developing the ability to formulate, articulate, and defend one's own beliefs, while simultaneously developing the independence, openness, and courage to change these beliefs in the face of a better perspective. I respect and believe in my students, and hold them to a high standard of excellence.
Recently, I was the only American to present at a Global Education conference in Lahore, Pakistan at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
I am a graduate of the London School of Economics, where my focus was on education, the social sciences, international relations, and the media.
I am a proud Italian-American! And I'm also a boxing coach (and student). :)
