I graduated from a Private University in 2002. I operated a childcare with preschool curriculum for 10 years. I stayed home with my children for 4 years. I then taught Preschool at a Catholic school for 4 years. I also substituted frequently in all grades Preschool- 12th Grade. I am the director of Religious Education at our church and teach Kindergarten through 6th grade students. I have also taught life skills readiness for 6th-8th grade students. We work on basic skills, promoting teamwork, and self esteem building. This is my second year of teaching Special Education. I have students ranging from Kindergarten-4th grade working to improve Math, Reading, Behavior and Social Skills.
I would say I am strict but fun. I feel children need high expectations and support so they can reach goals set for them. I put great importance on character building and basic skills for life. While I believe in discipline, I feel silliness has its place in our lives.
