I have taught for 15 years in grades 3-5, in an underserved area of Los Angeles. I have presented trainings for both Open Court and Treasures Reading program for teachers across my district, as well as, ELD and Thinking Maps trainings.
I believe that a teacher's job is to create independent thinkers, by modeling, teaching students to ask pertinent questions, and by exposing them to literature in every subject area.
I am a 2010 National Board Ceritified Teacher in the area of Literacy Reading and Language Arts.
I have a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA and a Masters in Educational Administration from Cal State Northridge.
