I teach in a resource room with three grade levels at one time. I have students with varying ability levels. I am a second year teacher and collaborate with all three grade level teams to ensure my lesson plans meet grade level standards and appropriate supports as needed.
I have no choice but to keep my students fully engaged at all times. I have a high structured classroom with many behavioral supports. I like to provide fun activities but sometimes limited to what the students can handle without losing the structure. My students know what to expect before it happens. In The classroom, we have a very rigid schedule that is very predictable. The consistency is important to all students. Many of my lesson plans revolve under a rigid schedule within the math/reading/science/social studies block. Follow me on my blog: http://thenewageinterventionspecialist.blogspot.com/

I love my job and there is nothing else I am meant to do in the world, than to work with my students. It's important to note that as I go through my resident educator program I am constantly learning from myself. I only post lessons that are highly detailed, well thought/planned out and ready to share with others. I promise you won't be disappointed. :-). Your feedback is important to me.
