TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Gifted and Talented Facilitator in a large suburban school district. I teach enrichment classes in K-2 classrooms. Third through Fifth graders attend my classroom for differentiated enrichment lessons that meet their all high level learning needs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I offer multiple ways for students to learn concepts. I frequently use hands on activities to help my students reinforce what they have been taught.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Masters Degree in Gifted, Talented and Creative. I'm also a National Board Certified Teacher. My Bachelor of Arts Degree includes certification in Elementary Education and Middle School Education in the fields of Language Arts and Social Studies.

I am also a published author. "Cimarron Sunrise" is an action adventure historical fiction book for upper elementary students. I have also published a literature guide for the book. My second book, Diamond Girl is also for upper elementary students. it is set at the Crater of Diamonds Park in Arkansas and fulfills many science and social studies standards.
