I have both taught English as a regular classroom teacher and have worked as a Literacy Coach in a middle school. As a Coach, it was my job to develop literacy materials connected to the Common Core.
Since we are living in an age where students are being raised (in part) by their experiences with technology, I am a firm supporter of using technology in the classroom. Nonetheless, I believe in incorporating technology in a way that complements traditional learning styles rather than replacing them. Technology isn't just something you throw into a lesson; it's something that you use as a tool like any other. My products emphasize that philosophy.
Selected as Lead English Teacher and Literacy Coach for three years.
I have a Bachelors Degree from Hamilton College, a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago, and another Masters Degree from St. John's University.
In addition to working on literacy and English courses, I also teach Journalism and advise an award winning school newspaper.
