I began my experience in the education field as a Corps Member in the AmeriCorps program Jumpstart where I practiced early childhood theory and instruction weekly, while implementing a curriculum designed to prepare students for academic success in Kindergarten. Following my acceptance into the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut in 2015 as a Junior, I began various placements in different districts and within different grades such as Windham, Mansfield, and Hartford, CT. Currently, I am a graduate student fulfilling my Masters at the University of Connecticut while serving as a K-5 Literacy Intern, working predominately with students in the primary grades for literacy intervention.
