MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in teaching the entire child by using strategies that enlist the multiply intelligence learning styles and by establishing relationships with students and parents. To build upon these relationships, I create two-way communication early in the school year to introduce myself, my holistic approach to teaching. a synopsis of the curriculum, and my high expectations of students. Failure is not an option in my classroom. I a not finished teaching until everyone has mastered a concept..

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

 I was nominated to represent my school as their Teacher of the Year, 2009. I was awarded two grants from the Bartlesville Public School foundation to purchase class sets of books.  I was nominated to receive the Kirk Schmoldt Award two years.  I received a grant from the Retired Teachers Association to help pay for my college tuition.
