I have been a teacher in Southern California for 16 years. I have spent the last 12 years teaching first grade and this is my fourth year teaching second grade. I am loving every minute of it. I have been the Gifted and ELD Coordinator at my site. I am currently the Elementary Coordinator at a K-12 Magnet School.
I love creating new ways for my kids to learn new ideas. I like to constantly reinvent my teaching strategies so it works for each new class and for the individual student. I also appreciate being inspired and motivated by my colleagues ideas as well. It takes a village...
I have a BA from UC Santa Barbara and have a multiple subject K-8 credential and my MA in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from CSU Northridge.
I have also held the positions of Bilingual/ESL, Gifted and Talented, Intervention and Elementary coordinator throughout my teaching career.
