I moved from MN after graduating to pursue my teaching career. I taught Pre-K my first year, then taught 4th grade for 2 years, and now this year I stepped into the wonderful world of Kindergarten. After 5 years and two children, I have decided to stay home for awhile.
I enjoy using math and literacy centers where students have a checklist and can complete centers as they wish at their own pace.
I started taking child development classes as a senior in high school and volunteered in a 1st grade classroom during a class called YSL (Youth Service Leadership) that same year. I knew back then that I wanted to work with kids. Since then, I have received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in pre-premiary education.
I have an amazing husband and an adorable 3 year old daughter and handsome 7 month old son. Plus, I live in a crazy zoo called my house. We share our space with 2 cats and a Corgidor (corgi/lab mix).
