TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for five years in different school environments and settings. My first three years of my teaching career were spent as a self-contain, behavioral disabilities teacher in both private and public schools. Although these three years were extremely difficult, it taught me so much in the way of modifying curricular materials to meet student needs. I have taught grades 7-12 and am currently working in a high school setting as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching styles are student-centric and facilitator. As a special educator, my responsibility is to the student as an individual and therefore, I tailor my lesson plans to meet individual needs by facilitating peer derived learning, student-centered activities, and indirect instruction.
