This is my 5th year teaching and I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Fresh out of college for the first 3 years of my career, I taught 3rd and 4th grade self-contained. What an incredible learning and growing experience that was. Every year looks different for me as a Special Education teacher, I go wherever the student needs are. I've taught self-contained, co-taught, and this year I currently teach resource. In my 5 short years of experience I have had my hands and feet in many places and often joke that I should wear roller skates to school. I've also been given the nickname the "Binder Queen" as my OCD organized self can't help but organize everything in a color-coded/labeled binder (thus the inspiration for my TPT name). Having taught in many different learning environments with a variety of student learners, I hope to share some of what I have organized and created to help other teachers. Each new school year brings a new classroom and a new set-up and while it can be overwhelming at times, I've learned the importance of being flexible and literally going with the flow. I love what I do and I wouldn't change a thing!
