TEACHING EXPERIENCE

15 years adjunct faculty at Community College, Has taught in the area of Firefighting, EMS, Hazardous Materials, & Communicable Diseases. Retired Firefighter EMT with over 30 years experience. Safety Manager for Commercial Electrical Construction Contractor

MY TEACHING STYLE

For lectures, I use the PowerPoint and let the students get involved by trying to use class discussion. I open with a story about the subject being taught. I try to use as much hands on scenario based training as possible using real life situations. I prefer to teach kind of like a stand-up comedian.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Received special recognition by Trinity Health Systems for staff disease prevention activities.
