Until 2014, I was Principal Teacher of Business Education at Breadalbane Academy in Aberfeldy, Scotland. In the 11 years that I was a teacher, I have taught Business Management, IT (Microsoft Office), Accounting and Economics to students aged from 11 to 18. My great passion is resource writing and creating materials that are fun, interesting and appealing to teenagers. I have now set up my own business incorporating what I love - writing and training. You'll see what I'm all about at www.buildyourskill.co.uk. Prior to teaching I was in the hospitality industry and managed my parents' hotel business.
I'd like to think I came across as firm but fair. I really enjoyed "banter" with the pupils and always tried to incorporate real life and current news into my teaching. Always with a sympathetic ear and encouraging, especially with those who lacked confidence but also giving the proverbial kick up the behind to those pupils who shied away from hard-work and self study. My colleagues used to call me Mrs Lever Arch & Polypocket as I had a tendency to file away absolutely everything. Well, I was a Business teacher!

Love to cook and entertain and look after my wonderful husband and two boys (although they do sometimes drive me insane!). Have recently started Open Water swimming and am a member of Perth Masters Swimming Club. Have been known to ski, but it's been a while.
