I am a fourth-generation teacher and proud to carry on my family tradition as an educator! I have earned a Masters Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils! My experience includes teaching in grades 1st-4th, 4th grade team leader, gifted classroom teacher, new teacher mentor, and Professional Learning Community (PLC) Leader.
My teaching style is based on the "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", which is presented in Stephen Covey's popular book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." In my daily instruction I teach my students the importance of setting goals and help them to explore their personal gifts and talents. Through teaching the seven habits, I help my students understand their self-worth and that they can dream big and accomplish their dreams.

My biggest inspiration and role models in teaching have always been my Mother and Grandmothers: Lauralea Bott (my father’s mother) . She is a veteran teacher with over 50 years of knowledge and experience teaching Elementary Education, Special Education, and Adult Education. After retirement, Lauralea decided to write down her reading intervention methods and techniques in a book to share her knowledge with others. She wrote Busi Bee Education: Building Understanding through Sensory Intervention Bott Education Enterprises to share with other teachers, parents, and tutors her knowledge and materials she has created over her lifetime of teaching. I want to honor her and my family legacy of teaching by sharing her materials with you!
