I started teaching when I was 21 years old. I love being with kids and helping them get to those "ah-ha" moments. I like to create things that are visually pleasing and packed with real teaching strategies that work. I started teaching at a private school while I earned my credential. I was teaching a 2nd/ 3rd grade combo class. After I earned my credential, I became an Impact Teacher. I was helping at risk students with reading, phonics, and math. Now I am teaching in my hometown where I went to school. I am so happy to be teaching where I grew up.
I truly believe in Differentiated Instruction. I like to differentiate the work that my students get because everybody learns differently. I am also a huge fan of Harry Wong and follow his model of classroom management. I believe that all children can learn and it is my job to find out which way that is.

I went to San Diego State University and graduated in 3.5 years. I then went to Azusa Pacific University to earn my Master's of Arts in Education and my California Teaching Credential. I love going to school and I want to further my education once my husband is done with schooling.
