I have been teaching kindergarten for over 15 years, and I love it!
I use a balanced approach in all that I teach. I want my classroom to be developmentally friendly to meet all of the social and emotional needs of all my kindergarten friends, but I must also meet all the common core standards in the process so that these little people are ready for 1st grade.
Winner of the 2013-3014 St Theodora Guerin Excellence in Education Award, the highest educational award given by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ball State University with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in kindergarten.
In addition to being a kindergarten teacher, I am the mother of four wonderful children; a 10 year old boy and three girls, ages 13, 15, and 17. I love being a mom, wife, and teacher. I enjoy spending my free time creating...creating things for my home and classroom, turning "trash to treasure", sewing, gluing, glittering, and (our course) creating fun activities for my classroom!
