I am a 6th year Kindergarden teacher and I love it! Being able to have a positive impact on the lives of children is something I am beyond blessed to be able to do. To teach is to love and I truly believe that.
I love hands on activities but I do not belive that one teaching style will reach all children. I have a range of teaching styles, whatever each student needs is how I teach.
I have been nominated for these honors by my fellow coworkers: 2014 - 2015 Teacher of the Third Nine Weeks , 2015 - 2016 Teacher of the Second Nine Weeks, 2016 - 2017 Teacher of the First Nine Weeks, 2016 - 2017 Teacher of the Year for Crockett Early Childhood Center
1994 Graduate of Corsicana High School, 2010 Associates of Science - Navarro College, 2012 Bachelors of Science - Texas A & M Commerce
I went back to school late in life so I believe no matter the timing, you can always reach your goals. My daughter is the reason I decided to go back. She was diagnosed with kidney cancer at the young age of three. After seeing all she went through and all she overcame, I decided I would pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. That was the best decision I ever made. It was hard at times being a full time working single mom and going to school full time but I knew I had to do this for us. Teaching is truly my calling and I am blessed to be able to do something I love!
