I have many years of experience in the field of education as a classroom teacher (pre-k, 1st, 2nd, 1st/2nd combo and 5th grades), guest teacher (K-5) and as the owner/operator of a literacy based childcare program, where I used my artistic skills and passion for education to create original, engaging lesson plans, activities and materials that support a variety of learning styles. I have had Open Court, AEMP (American English Mastery Program), UCLA Math Training-Teaching Math in the Primary Years, and Write From the Beginning trainings. I have served as an off-site judge for the Future Educators of America Lesson Planning and Delivery Competition. I am the owner and reading instructor for By the Letter Literacy Reading Lab, a private practice reading program.
