TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Kristi Caissie, Ed.S. District Academic Coach in Walker County, GA This is my 17th year as an educator in Georgia. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 5th grade as a homeroom teacher. For the last 8 years, I have worked as an Academic Coach helping teachers from Pre-K through 5th grade in all academic subjects, but my favorite is math. I hold a Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration, as well as, a certificate as a Teacher Support Specialist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to use engaging activities that really get the students thinking and understanding the content. I feel that it is more important to construct understanding then to develop skills. My activities often focus on small group learning, and can be used with differentiation.
