Teaching is a calling and I have answered the call. I have two grown children and spent countless hours in the classroom and school setting volunteering. I have 4 years of education experience, 2 years in substituting and 1 year as an in-class support.
The teaching styles I use are across the board. Depending on the students and subject content would determine the style I choose. I have used all the teaching styles (teacher centered, direct instruction, student centered, inquiring based and cooperative learning) and find being flexible important.
I graduated with honors and received an award for student of the year. The university spotlighted me in the newsletter for commencement. I worked full-time and completed 5-6 courses every semester to complete an Associate's and Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8 within 3 1/2 years. I was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi throughout my academic career.
I am a professional learner and continue to grow every day.
I was called to teach and have answered the call. Jesus, is my Lord and Savior and I praise Him everyday for choosing me to teach.
