TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching English and Social Studies since 2008, mainly in Title I schools for 6th through 8th grade. I have also been on multiple curriculum committees and the ELA Team Lead at my school. I truly enjoy creating different activities for students to learn from.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is more getting the students involved in their own learning. I only do a few minutes of whole teaching a day, the rest is done in small groups or individual work. I work a lot as a facilitator. I see a lot of ownership from the students by teaching this way.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been Rookie of the Year (2008-2009) and Ambassador Educator of the Year (2013-2014).
