TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For five years, I've taught five junior- and senior-level English courses a year at a private college prep high school, primarily AP Lang./Comp. and senior creative writing electives. I also run our school's creative writing club, which means I mostly bake cookies for--and bask in awe at--my schools' young writerly talent every Tuesday after school. Before my current job, I taught freshman college composition.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Socratic, zany, persnickety, always evolving, student-driven. I use a lot of technology (our school's on a 1:1 iPad model), but try to be judicious about it.
