I have taught for 13 years, five of which as a dyslexia interventionist at the elementary school level. Training in Basic Language Skills through Neuhaus Education Center has equipped me to be an advocate for reading success in students with dyslexia. I feel very blessed to say that I truly love my job! Seeing students' confidence and love of reading grow as they learn and independently apply what they have learned is such a delight! Encouraging, collaborating with, and supporting classroom teachers as they advocate is also a passion that keeps me happy to go to work each day.
Language Lab (for students with dyslexia): explicit, intensive, multi-sensory language instruction delivered in a small group setting for one hour, four times per week. Repetitive practice that develops automaticity, leads to increased confidence and, ultimately, independent academic success. Teachers have the very important job of helping kids know that they valuable and loved!

I am going to be a grandmother (Mammy) for the first time! So excited! I hope that the time I've spent creating these resources for teachers and students will help me build up a little nest egg to support/spoil my grandbaby and others to come! I also hope that the work I've done will support you...and give you a little more time with the ones you love! Blessings to you as you invest in KIDS! Camie
