Gracie, 42 years of teaching experience, mother of 3, grandmother of 13. Andee, 5 years of teaching experience, 12 years as a military spouse and counting, mother of 2!
As a military spouse, I have been fortunate to teach first graders in Colorado, Kentucky and Louisiana. It's amazing to see students all across the USA learning to read and write. I'm very passionate about teaching students to become independent, lifelong learners. I am an energetic, hands-on teacher. My 'spunk' was inherited from my amazing mother who inspires me daily. She is currently in her 42 year of teaching, mostly at the 1st grade level, but also 8 years as an elementary principal. Together we hope to share our ideas and creations to help make things easier in your classroom as you touch the lives of little ones!
2011-2012 Teacher of the Year (1st year back in the classroom after raising my 2 incredible children - who are now in 1st and 2nd grade)
BS - Public Relations Minor - Special Education K-5 Elementary Education Certification Masters Curriculum & Instruction
Being a military spouse has allowed me to teach children all over the United States! I'm very excited about creating new materials for the common core as this helps with my ever-changing classroom due to constant moving...it also allows my children to make transitions smoothly, from school to school and curriculum to curriculum!
