TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 15 years of experience teaching in public schools, writing curriculum, and running outdoor education programs. I specialize in Science, but make materials for elementary and middle school English Language Arts, as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am an engaging, enthusiastic, and ever-curious teacher! I believe in differentiating my lessons and materials whenever possible, and making strong connections with my students. Community-building is a big priority in my classroom, which is often reflected in the materials I make.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

- Fellowship in nonviolence education at the Ahimsa Center, California Polytechnic State University (2009). - Scholarship to attend Space Camp for Educators in Huntsville, AL (2010). - Participant in two University of Massachusetts K-12 STEM Institutes: Nanotechnology and Analyzing Digital Images (2011 and 2015).

- B.S. in Communications from New York University. - M. Ed. in Education from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
