TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught grades 1, 3 and 5. I have taught grade 6 social studies for 19 years. I have also taught one year of seventh grade social studies. I have most recently moved to the high school where I have taught Western Civilization and AP Euro. I also teach theatre arts and vocal performance as a second career.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a teacher leader and enjoy creating new curriculum and grade level initiatives. I love it when students get to pursure developmentally appropriate activities that bring them joy,, knowledge and a love of learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been awarded several district merit awards by principals in my 27 year career. My most valued award is as WSEA Educator of the Year as it was awarded by my peers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. I earned a BA in History and a BMus in Vocal Performance. I earned my Masters in Ed at Widerner University.
